Post subject:  Per night charges

It has been a couple of years since we were at the ABC, I needed to know if anyone can tell the me the total amount charged per night for a Royal Superb unit. The last I read it would be around $24.00 per night. This is to include the daily energy charge and the service charge. I am just trying to have an idea of how much I will need to set aside for this.

I want to make sure I don't give it to the Alhambra instead :D Thanks for any and all help.

As of March 23 2013 ABC Royal Superb/Deluxe/Prime Deluxe  $13.00 for the Energy Surcharge and $10.28 Government Occupancy tax which is $23.28 per night or $162.96 per week.

As of March 23 2013 ABC Superior $ 11.90 for the Energy Surcharge and $ 9.50 Government Occupancy tax which is $21.40 per night or $149.80 per week.

Tuck that away before heading across the street at night...LOL

I know there has been discussion on the new taxes Aruba is charging per stay. Do you have a list of those, and can you provide the per night/week energy tax for the Deluxe units?

Thanks.

Don't forget to include this new tax....
For the hotel and timeshare sector, the government will introduce an “Environmental Levy” as per August 1, 2013, with a fixed fee as follows:

- US$10 per studio
- US$15 per one bedroom
- US$25 per two or three bedrooms

For timeshare owners, this levy is a one-time fee for continuous usage during your owned interval. As such, if you own multiple consecutive weeks, you would be charged only once during your visit. If you own non-consecutive weeks, you will be charged for each stay. Similarly, owners transferring from one resort to another will be charged for a new stay. Hotel or transient guests will be charged US$ 3 per day. Timeshare owners renting additional nights before or after their interval stay will be subjected to the daily fee in addition to their fixed fee.
