Dear Members and Guests,
To all our members and their cherished ones, we thank you for your continued support and extend sincere wishes for a Happy and Prosperous 2014 during which the entire Aruba Beach Club team is committed to continue the path to improving the Resort.
Our Auditors, Deloitte are now completing the process of our yearend audit for the fiscal period November 2012 through October 2013. We are also anticipating the arrival of The Board of Directors who will meet during the week of January 18th to January 25th 2014.
Aruba Beach Club has once again earned the RCI Silver Crown Resort® designation for 2014! RCI presents this award to Aruba Beach Club in recognition of its outstanding resort facilities and services which include resort quality, service delivery, and overall vacation experience. Congratulations to the entire staff for their strong commitment to quality and service, sharing our ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction.
ITS CARNIVAL TIME IN ARUBA: A complete listing of Aruba's 60th Carnival Schedule can be found on the website link http://www.visitaruba.com/things-to-do/ ... -schedule/. To those of you who will be on Island, we extend an invitation to join in the celebrations.
OFFICIAL ARUBA HOLIDAYS (Jan/Feb/Mar): Housekeeping service will be provided same as our Sunday Housekeeping service. Most businesses on the Island will be closed.
January 1st - New Years Day
January 25th - G.F. Betico Croes Day (Saturday - Regular Housekeeping Service)
March 3rd - Carnival Monday
March 18th - National Flag and Anthem Day
BEACH AND CHICKEES:
THANKS for "Sharing the Shade" - Ramon and his Security/Pool staff express their sincere appreciation to all our guests for your cooperation and understanding contributing to ABC's One Happy Beach! In the event of a member/guest addressing security to remove towels before 6AM while there are still beach-huts available, towels will not be removed.
Otherwise, the same beach-hut rules still apply.
HOUSEKEEPING: Make sure that you take care of your Beach Towels that you have been issued. In order to limit beach towel loss and/or damage please be reminded of our policy. Guests are requested to check their beach towels as received at the Beach Towel Station, and again, beach towels will be checked for damage when returned. The Guest will be financially charged for any damaged and/or towels not returned for any reason. The Club is not responsible for towels issued to The Guest.
We are happy to inform our Members and Guests that you will continue seeing Fabiana Maduro at the Beach Towel Station on Tuesdays - Fabiana will be replacing Irene on her off day.
FRONT DESK: Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Please be reminded that You will be fined the appropriate charge per infraction. The Club needs the rooms for Housekeeping to be ready on time for the next occupant.
ENERGY SURCHARGE: Reminder that the Club will charge Nightly Energy on late arrival and early departure unless the unused nights have been placed in the Club's Rental Program 30 day in advance of the week/unit.
When placing a unit in the Club's Rental Program with 30 days advance notice, the Club will absorb the nightly Energy charge for any nights placed for rental not successfully rented. Should a member place a unit in the Rental Program with less than 30 days notice, and the Club does not successfully rent, the energy on the unrented nights will be billed to the owner on his account.
SECURITY / PARKING: Parking still remains a problem. Do not park in restricted areas as you will run the chance of having your car towed off the property at your own risk.
MAINTENANCE: The East Wing balcony retiling project is beginning and will be scheduled depending on the availability which remains an issue.
ACTIVITIES: Members and Guests that wish to attend activities, we kindly request that you please be on time especially for the T-Shirt Painting and any other Crafts.
CLUB DUES 2014: To those members who have not yet paid their Club Dues, the 1st late penalty of $25 each week/unit is applicable. If not paid by February 1st, second $25 per week/unit will be assessed.

Please take good note of our new Tampa address for mailing payments. Any other correspondence received at the Tampa address will be forwarded in bulk weekly via Fed/Ex to Club's offices here in Aruba for appropriate handling:

REMINDER TO UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL DATA: The Club at all times needs to have an updated record of all our existing Members and we find that some of our members change their e-mail, mailing address, contact or other related personal information and forget to inform the Resort. If this is your case, please contact Cathy Brete via email email@example.com in order to update your records with the Club.
It is my pleasure updating you with some of the latest developments at the ABC and on the Island. I look forward to meeting you at the regular Tuesday Manager's Meeting where most recent info will be shared and questions from the floor addressed.
