March / April 2014
The first quarter of this new year is almost over and we hope that the weather patterns are settling for the positive with the arrival of Springtime!

I know that you are just as proud as we are. Throughout this first quarter, the Resort has enjoyed high occupancies and was very busy operationally.
At the end of April the Board of Directors will be arriving at the Resort for the Annual General Meeting of Members, which in all probability will take place on the postponed date of Tuesday the 29th of April, as well as for the Board of Directors meeting scheduled throughout the week of April 26th.
2014 Convocations & Ballot were mailed to our owners on March 3rd. If you have not yet receive yours, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send you one via e-mail.
OFFICIAL ARUBA HOLIDAYS (Mar/Apr/May):
Housekeeping service will be provided same as our Sunday Housekeeping service. Most businesses on the Island will be closed.
March 18th - National Flag and Anthem Day
April 18th - Good Friday
April 21st - Easter Monday
April 26th - King's Birthday Celebrated - Regular Saturday Housekeeping Service
May lst - Aruba's Labor Day
May 29th - Ascension Thursday
DIMAS TOURISM STAY-OVER POLICY: Referring to an Article that appeared in the "Morning News" on Monday, March 24th that mentioned policy changes, please be informed, that these do not affect Timeshare Owners, since for you no changes were announced and the situation remains status quo:
The 180 days maximum at once or split up over a calendar year is still applicable for the owners of property in Aruba, i.e. Time-share Owners.
The immigration usually gives 30 days upon entrance. But upon specific request of the Time-share owner by filling the days you need on the ED Card presented upon arrival to the local airport immigration, and after providing proof that you do own property in Aruba (copy of share-certificate(s), the Time-share owners can be given more than 30 days (up to a maximum of 180 days per calendar year) upon entrance.
An extension of the tourist stay can also be obtained for additional days needed (if not already granted by the airport immigration) at the DIMAS.
FREE WI-FI SERVICE: The Resort now offer guests free WiFi service available under the Cayenna Garden Terrace, the covered area in front of the Spa, Activities Dept., and Member's Lounge, from the edge of the children's playground to the lobby. Just go to your WiFi settings and click on "Cayena Terrace", no password required.
SERVICE WITH A SMILE: While we appreciate all of your comments, the positive the negative, any suggestions, and recognize there are times of personal frustration, we kindly ask you to remain respectful of our employees. Whenever you have an issue or a challenge, by their nature and their culture, our employees are ready and willing to do their utmost to help you in any way possible as soon as they become aware of your needs. Abusive language will not be tolerated.
EMERGENCY LIGHTING: In case of any electrical power outage, we have emergency lighting only in the hallway of units. The switch is located by the entrance of each unit.
Ongoing balcony repairs (twelve remaining to be repaired) in the East Wing units, upon availability of the units. Completed in all other areas.
New Elevator, which hopefully will be installed in June/July.
New Pool House Pumps / Filters and Conversion of Pool to Salt Water in June/July
Buoys have been installed in the ocean in front of ABC.
Lighting under the kitchen cabinets in the Superior units.
New Security lighting installed on the walkway and driveway from the Alhambra Mall to the ABC entrance.
Necessary repairs done to the ABC tennis courts.
Pavers installed at the slope of the ramp at the entrance.
Exhaust fans installed in the bathrooms of each unit (ongoing).
Replacement of High Rise Stairwell Louvers (ongoing).
Please take good note of our new Tampa address for mailing payments. Any other correspondence received at the Tampa address will be scanned and transmitted to Club's offices here in Aruba for appropriate handling:

REMINDER: When payment of Club Dues is made with credit card or when a unit is purchased from our Re-Sales Department and payment is made via credit card, ABC will add its 4% administration fee.
